The East Aurora Police Department has had two complaints in recent days involving phone calls from an Hispanic male stating that he has a relative held hostage after a motor vehicle accident and is demanding money. This is a scam. Do not give any personal information over the phone and anyone advising you to send money via Western Union or any other form of electronic payment should raise suspicion. Should you receive these type of calls or any other suspicious calls or activity please call the East Aurora Police Department at 652-1111.
