Press Release: NPD #1400-2861 Burglary Investigation & Arrest (950 Field Drive, Noblesville) 8.6.14

On August 6, 2014 at approximately 4:17 a.m., policer officers from the Noblesville Police Department responded to the Moose Lodge, located at 950 Field Drive (Noblesville), in reference to a report of a business alarm. While en route to the alarm, officers received an additional dispatch indicating that some sort of confrontation was occurring in the establishment between a representative of the Moose Lodge and an alleged intruder.

Officers arrived on the scene shortly after the second dispatch call and observed a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers were able to force entry into the building and located the representative and suspect shortly thereafter. Officers found a broken window on the north side of the building and it appears that an individual(s) may have made entry at that point.

The suspect in this case has been identified as John P. Dell, 21, of Noblesville. Dell was transported by ambulance to Riverview Health Hospital (Noblesville) for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was later released from the hospital around 7:00 a.m. Dell has been preliminarily charged with Burglary* and was incarcerated at the Hamilton County Jail.

The representative of Moose Lodge has been identified as Thomas D. Runyon, 50, of Noblesville. Runyon was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Crime scene investigators were called to the scene to collect evidence and witness statements. This remains an ongoing investigation.
