Severe T-storms are possible this afternoon. Wind in excess of 50 mph possible. Heat index could reach mid 90's
National Weather Service is advising of the potential for Severe Thunderstorms this afternoon into this evening. The greatest threat from these storms could be wind gusts in excess of 58 mph and hail up to 1 in. in diameter. There is a slight risk of a Tornado occurring with these storms.
Reminder: All thunderstorms produce lightning. LIGHTNING is a proven killer.
Additionally, temperatures could reach 90 degrees today with heat index values in the mid-90's.
