On September 2, 2014, Los Banos Police Officers responded to the 800 block of Jeffery Road after receiving reports of illegal aerial fireworks being set off.
Officer Paul Llanez arrived and contacted Antonio “Tony” Perez, 42, near his residence in the 800 block of Jeffery Road. While speaking to Perez, officer Llanez observed illegal dangerous fireworks sitting in plain view. Perez admitted to setting off the illegal fireworks prior to officer Llanez talking with him.
Perez was issued a citation for “Unlawful Possession of Dangerous Fireworks.” Perez faces fines up to $1,250.00 as penalty for setting off the illegal fireworks.
