8/18/14- 100 Block of Jade- Home Invasion- The victim reports that an unknown subject forced entry into their home and stole multiple items including a TV and videogame system. The case is currently under investigation.
8/20/14- 60 E. North Territorial- Shell Gas Station- Retail Fraud- The manager at the Shell Gas station observed a subject place items in his pocket and then left the store without paying for the item. Officers were able to track down the subject and the store was able to retrieve their property. Shell did not wish to prosecute however asked that the subject be trespassed for the business.
8/21/14-8000 Block of Kearney Rd- Larceny from Auto- There were several vehicles entered by an unknown subject(s) who stole misc. items from the vehicles. The case is currently under investigation. There were no witnesses to the incidents.
8/22/14- 7000 Block of Shady Beach- Larceny from Auto-Officers were on a subdivision patrol and observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. After checking the vehicle the officer began checking the surrounding vehicle and observed a subject inside one of the vehicles. The subject fled on foot without any loot but was later identified and arrested. An Evidence Techs was called to the scene and collected evidence in the attempt larceny from auto. The case has been sent to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor.
8/26/14- 300 Block of Emerald Circle- Home Invasion- An unknown subject entered into a vacant manufactured home and caused damage to same. Officers responded but were unable to locate a suspect. Witnesses stated they saw the chandelier moving inside the home but did not see the subject. The management company was notified of the incident.
8/29/14- 9000 Block of Harbor Cove- Larceny- The victim reports that an unknown subject stole her laptop computer. The victim was not sure but believed it was stolen from her parked vehicle. The case is being investigated by the responding officer.
Remember seatbelts save lives. Michigan Law requires the use of seatbelts. The fine for no seatbelt is $65.00(fine). Don't become a statistic..... Wear your seatbelt and make sure that everyone else in your vehicle also wears a seatbelt.
