The Woodway Police SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 6:30 am this morning on Townridge, Woodway. This search warrant was the result of an ongoing joint criminal investigation by the Woodway Police, DEA, and McGregor Police into illicit narcotic activity occurring at this residence. This warrant was the culmination of months long surveillance, intelligence, and financial investigation into the activities of the suspect, Mark Chernoff, and his involvement in the distribution of narcotics in and around the city limits of Woodway. The SWAT team executed this "no knock" warrant due to the suspect's criminal history and his known possession of firearms. There were no injuries reported during this operation and two suspects were detained. Upon the discovery of numerous pills and syringes, Mark Chernoff was charged with manufacturer and delivery of a controlled substance less than 28 grams, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 3.
