Today, the Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin Police Departments, along with the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department will be conducting a joint active shooter training at the former Sonoma Elementary School (543 Sonoma Avenue). The training will involve an active shooter scenario and is intended to help better prepare all agencies for these types of incidents.
During the training scenario officers will be simulating explosive devices and gunfire. The Livermore Police Department wants residents that live near the school to be aware that this is a training exercise and not to be alarmed during this training scenario.
