Massive Manhunt is on in the rural forest area of eastern Pennsylvania
** THIS IS A MASSIVE MANHUNT ALERT **
--Pennsylvania does not have an Blue Alert System in their State at this time, But we feel the Information on the Manhunt and Public safety is an Issue, we are sending out this Alert to the Public--
According to state police, Eric Matthew Frein is armed and dangerous.
According to Frein’s father, a U.S. Army veteran who taught his son how to use a rifle, Frein “doesn’t miss.”
And as of Tuesday, Frein, 31, was the target of a massive manhunt as hundreds of law enforcement officers combed the woods of Pennsylvania’s Pocono region in search of the Canadensis man accused in the Friday night slaying of Pennsylvania State Police Cpl. Bryon K. Dickson, 38, of Dunmore, and of critically injuring Trooper Alex T. Douglass, of Olyphant, outside the Blooming Grove barracks in Pike County.
“He has made statements about wanting to kill law enforcement officers and also to commit mass acts of murder,” State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan said at a news conference in which he revealed the suspect’s name. “What his reasons are, we don’t know. But he has very strong feelings about law enforcement and seems to be very angry with a lot of things that go on in our society.”
Investigation by state police has helped troopers develop a profile of the man they say ambushed two of their own, including a fascination with firearms and a “survivalist” mentality.
Frein is “extremely dangerous,” Noonan said, and residents in the area should be alert and cautious.
The Blooming Grove barracks are about 50 miles east of Wilkes-Barre.
