Off Duty State Trooper Stops to Assist with Stranded Motorist, Finds Wanted Felon
Gosport – (Owen County) On Monday, Trooper Kyle Hall was off duty and travelling on County Line Road near Gosport when he came upon a stranded motorist and other Good Samaritans who had stopped to help. As with any other stuck motorist, Trooper Hall called in the license plate and then proceeded to assist at the scene.
Trooper Hall was soon notified the driver he was assisting was wanted on a Felony Warrant out of Monroe County and the vehicle he was in possession of was entered as stolen.
Donald L. Anderson, 30 of Stinesville, was taken into custody on previously filed charges resulting in the Monroe County Warrant. That warrant included Criminal Confinement, D felony, Theft, D Felony, Intimidation, D Felony, Criminal Trespass, A misdemeanor and Interference with the Reporting of a Crime, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Anderson was being held without bond awaiting extradition to Monroe County.
