Training Exercise:

Tomorrow, the Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin Police Departments, along with the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department will be conducting a joint active shooter training at the former Sonoma Elementary School (543 Sonoma Avenue). The training will involve an active shooter scenario and is intended to help better prepare all agencies for these types of incidents.

During the training scenario officers will be simulating explosive devices and gunfire. Most of the noise will be contained to inside the school buildings. Neighbors should be able to notice the activity, but not be disturbed by noise. The Livermore Police Department wants residents that live near the school to be aware that this is a training exercise and not to be alarmed during this training scenario.
