King Fire update

According to local public safety officials there is no immediate threat from the King Fire to the Truckee Tahoe area at this time
• Due to weather conditions and terrain, there is no immediate threat to Truckee, the North Tahoe Basin, Donner Summit area, Tahoe City, Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley.
• The most current information can be obtained through the Cal Fire website at www.fire.ca.gov under King Fire.
• TTUSD is monitoring air quality and will make a determination on possible school cancellation tomorrow. Notice will be based on a snow day schedule. All families will be notified by 6 a.m.
• Limit outdoor activity and stay indoors in air conditioning if possible.
• Learn how to prepare for wildfires at www.readyforwildfire.org
• Locally, all fire stations are staffed and resources are available in the event you need assistance.
• As conditions change, we will provide updates through various sources, such as, Nixle.com, local media.
