Our department will be participating in the National Medication Take Back event this Saturday, September 27th, 10AM-2PM.

Residents can drop off unused, expired or unwanted medications at our headquarters located at 21 Locust St. Please keep in mind the officer on duty may be called out of the station. If you arrive and the doors are locked, please call (610) 966-2222 and advise dispatch you are at Macungie Police HQ to drop off medications. They will advise the duty officer and have the officer return when they clear the call they are on.

This program has been very successful and offers a safe and proper way to dispose of medications. Residents are asked to remove medications from bottles or containers and combine them in a single bag if possible.
