Eustis Police Department Investigates Gun Shots on 2000 Block of Virginia Avenue

Shots fired on Virginia Avenue, Eustis, FL
[Eustis, FL] – On September 27, 2014, at approximately 7:05 PM, Eustis Police Department Officers responded to the 2000 block of Virginia Avenue in reference to shots fired. Witnesses’ accounts stated observing a dark colored Dodge Magnum with shiny wheels drive up and down Virginia Avenue, park in front of the residence, and drive off turning onto Wall Street. Each witness stated they heard three to five gunshots and each observed the same dark colored Dodge Magnum.
Officers located five .223 round shell casings on the road in front of the residence. Four rounds struck the residence. The fifth round was not located. Officers conducted a search of the area for anyone possibly injured by the fifth round. The residence was occupied and no one was injured.
Officers canvassed the area, interviewed residents and issued a B.O.L.O. (be on the lookout) for a dark colored Dodge Magnum with shiny wheels, possibly armed.
This is an ongoing investigation and as details come available, they will be provided to ensure public safety.
