September 30, 2014 will be the 35th anniversary of the death of Harbor Patrol Officer Harold L. Edgington. Harold was killed by a knife wielding suspect at Mother’s Beach. The suspect was shot and killed a few minutes later by Lennox Sheriff’s Deputies. We will be having a memorial service at Edgington Park on the corner of Admiralty Way and Via Marina, Marina del Rey, CA. The service will be at 1100 hours. You are all invited to attend. The uniform of the day for all sworn personnel is Class A long sleeve with tie.
