2:48pm - The truck belonging to Sanderson Farms and was carrying approximately 5500 live chickens to the processing center. It appears that there was a load shift which caused the truck to turn over. It is unknown how many chickens were injured or died as a result of the accident. The driver did not receive a citation. The roadway remains closed at this time

2:01pm - Semi-truck was travelling west on W SH 21, and turned left on FM 2818. Truck was unable to make the turn and tipped over onto its right side. The driver was not injured. Southbound access to FM 2818 is now closed to allow the roadway to be cleared. Traffic will be diverted to Quality Park and W 28th Street. Large trucks (semi) will have to use SH 47 or other major roadways.

1:12pm - A semi-truck with flatbed trailer hauling crates of live chickens has overturned. The driver was not injured. At this time traffic is flowing normally. Eventually traffic exiting W SH 21 attempting to turn south on FM 2818 will be rerouted. Updates will follow. Please avoid the area if possible
