25-year old Spfld man charged after leading GCSO Deputies on pursuit in stolen vehicle & crashing over weekend
25-year old Springfield man charged after leading Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies in pursuit in stolen vehicle and crashing in northern Springfield
Over the weekend, a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop the driver of a silver Ford Focus for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated. The driver failed to stop and led Deputies on a brief pursuit in the northern Springfield area where the driver crashed the vehicle. He was quickly apprehended and identified as 25-year old Chance Parker from Springfield, MO. After further investigation, it was determined the vehicle had been reported stolen from an address inside the city limits of Springfield as well.
Parker was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail. The Greene County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has formally charged Parker with:
1 – Felony count of 2nd Degree Assault (bond amount of $150,000.00)
1 – Felony count of 1st Degree Tampering with a Motor Vehicle (bond amount of $100,000.00)
