The UPD License Plate Readers help catch a kidnapping/GTA suspect. 
On Sunday afternoon, the Automated License Plate Reader at 7th & Mountain alerted UPD that a vehicle associated with a kidnapping and GTA had passed through the intersection going northbound.
UPD patrol officers responded to the area and located the vehicle. A high risk traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the suspect while the victim, who was still in her car, was freed. The original incident stemmed from a domestic violence assault in Pico Rivera.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to take custody of the suspect. The car was returned to the victim.
