BASIC CAR 14A27: Senior Lead Officer Juan Ceja
PREVENTABLE CRIME TRENDS: Grant Theft Auto (GTA) and Burglary From Motor Vehicle (BFMV)
MODUS OPERANDI: Suspects look for older model Hondas and Toyotas (1990's -2000's) that are not equipped with alarms or steering wheel locks.
Suspects also look inside the vehicle for any valuables left in plain view. The suspects then use blunt objects to smash car window and remove property.
ALERT METHODS UTILIZED: I'm using The "Hide It, Lock It, Keep It" flyers, e-mail blast, neighborhood watch meetings and this Crime Awareness / Prevention App.
SAFETY TIPS: Pay attention to your surroundings, alert your neighbors of recent GTA's or car burglaries. Secured all valuables in the trunk or preferably take loose items inside your house.
IF YOU HAVE ANY LEADS OF POTENTIAL SUSPECTS: If any crime tips or leads regarding suspects please contact the Pacific Detectives Desk at (3 1 0) 4 8 2 - 6 3 1 3. If no one answers please leave a detail message including your full name, telephone number, type of case (crime), and case number if you have it.
