Los Banos Volunteers for Animals and Petco Give Back to Los Banos
The Los Banos Police Department would like to thank our local Petco for their support to our Los Banos Volunteers for Animals and the community. This year alone Petco has donated nearly $5,000.00 to the Los Banos Volunteers for Animals group and they have donated over $30,000.00 since 2009.
These additional funds allow our Volunteers to give back to the community by providing additional spay/neuter vouchers to our citizens and by providing funding to save animals.
“We still have vouchers for spay/neuter available for 2014, but don’t wait because they go fast. You can receive these vouchers by coming to the Police Department or by calling Code Enforcement at (209) 827-7070, extension 141.”
- Dana Rawls, Code Enforcement Administrative Clerk
In 2013, the Los Banos Petco store #1331 won the “National Award for Community Involvement.” The amount of donations received played a large part in Petco receiving this award. Petco was recognized for their efforts in employing a diverse support team of local students.
Starting November 22, 2014, Petco will begin collecting donations for the Petco Tree of Hope. The donations collected will help find new families for shelter animals’ during the Holidays. These local donations will benefit the Los Banos Volunteers for Animals.
