School Evacuation - 930 Royal Oaks Dr. due to a report of odor coming from chemistry lab. No immediate threat. 
At 12:28 pm the Monrovia Fire Department received a call reporting an odor from a chemistry lab at 930 Royal Oaks Drive at the Canyon Oaks High School. The Monrovia Fire Department is on scene and is currently assessing the situation. The chemistry lab has been contained and there is no fire or smoke. 500 students have been evacuated. Some students are complaining of itchy throats and coughing and those students are currently being treated on scene. There is no additional threat at this time.
For parents wishing to pick up their students, they can coordinate with the Monrovia Police Officer on scene at the east side of the school on Royal Oaks and Mountain Ave.
