Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in the 100 block of North Gage Avenue, East Los Angeles, on Monday October 20, 2014 at approximately 11:47 am.

Investigators have learned that deputies from the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station responded to the location for a “check the welfare” call, when the victim was discovered deceased inside the residence.  

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department Paramedic personnel.

Detectives remain at the scene, waiting for the arrival of Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner personnel to determine the victim’s cause of death.
