BENTON, MISSOURI - Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reports additional charges have been filed against a Morley man and woman.
Patty Lynn Tanner (59) of 358 Ault Street, Morley, Missouri has been charged with the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the Class A Misdemeanor of Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
Rollen D. Newsom (38) of 358 Ault Street, Morley, Missouri has been charged with the Class B Felony of Distribution / Delivery / Manufacture / Produce or Attempt to or Possess With Intent to Distribute / Deliver / Manufacture / Produce a Controlled Substance, and the Class D Felony of Possess Any Methamphetamine Precursor Drug With the Intent to Manufacture Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, or Any of Their Analogs.
Sheriff Walter states that, as previously reported, on Monday, October 20, 2014, a search warrant was executed at 358 Ault Street in Morley. Deputies made arrests that night. On Wednesday, October 22nd, deputies again responded to the residence and that investigation led to the initial arrests of Tanner and Newsom. The sheriff states that deputies continue to look into the matter, and Deputy Carl Rose interviewed Tanner and Newsom on Thursday, October 23rd.
As a result of those interviews, additional charges have been filed against Tanner and Newsom. During the interviews, additional information was admitted by each to warrant the filling of the new charges.
Sheriff Walter cites the interview by Deputy Rose as instrumental in the new charges being filed. The sheriff states this is another example of where persistence by law enforcement personnel involved in a criminal investigation provides positive results.

Tanner and Newsom remain in custody in the Scott County Jail.
Bond on the new charges for Tanner has been set by the court at $5,000.00 cash or surety.
Bond on the new charges for Newsom has been set by the court at $5,000.00 cash only.
