LOCATION: Klackle’s Orchard – Eureka Township, Montcalm County
Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a personal injury accident involving a Klackle Orchard’s farm tractor on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at approximately 4:00 p.m. The accident occurred on Station Road near the West County Line Road. The tractor towing two wagons with 25 to 30 people on each wagon was Westbound on Station Road when the first wagon began to sway. The driver of the tractor, a seventy one year old male, loss control of the tractor and went into the ditch and struck some rocks causing the first wagon to tip on its side. Three males and two females ranging in age from 19 to 51 years old had minor cuts and abrasions and went by personal vehicles to Spectrum United Memorial Hospital in Greenville for treatment. Witnesses say the remaining uninjured passengers removed the second wagon out of the road way. The accident remains under investigation by Sheriff Deputies.
