A friendly reminder that Halloween is this Friday, October 31. Although there are no set times most trick or treating, particularly with younger children is conducted in the early evening hours, usually after dinnertime. A few safety tips:
1. Younger children should be accompanied by at least one responsible adult. Also flashlights offer good visibility
2. Should only go to homes that have their outside lights on.
3. Kids should never enter a strangers house.
4. Use sidewalks and look both ways before crossing streets
5. Never eat treats until examined by a parent
6. Notify the police if harmful items are found
7. Never invite trick or treaters into your home
8. If possible avoid leaving your home unattended on Halloween night.
9. Keep pets inside and under control as a lot of strangers will be visiting.
10. Make sure some reflective material or lighting is on or around your costume.
