4TH AVE DRAINAGE PROJECT

On or about Monday, November 3rd, the County of Bergen has authorized the installation of a new drainage system along the west side of 4th Avenue between Siemers Lane and Ward Avenue. This project will alleviate flooding on 4th Avenue which occurs when runoff travels down Ward Avenue and other streets onto 4th Avenue. It is anticipated that this project will take 6 weeks to complete. The majority of the work will be in the southbound lane of 4th Avenue.
A detour will be established for vehicles heading northbound on 4th Avenue. That detour has yet to be finalized. Southbound traffic on 4th Avenue will use the northbound lane. The schedule for this project is subject to weather conditions.
