Advisory

Suspicious Person & Vehicle Complaint

The Marshalltown Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals and their vehicle concerning an incident near Franklin Elementary School.

On November 3, 2014, sometime after school, two young children were walking in the 1200 Blk W. Linn St when they passed an older two-tone, brown & tan, SUV or pickup truck with a topper, which was occupied by two African-American males in their mid-20’s to 40’s. As they passed, the vehicle passenger said something to the young children that made them feel uncomfortable, so they ran to a relative’s residence in the area. The children were not harmed, nor was anything other than the statement made to the children.

The Department would like to identify the occupants of the vehicle so we can determine their intent concerning this incident. If anyone has information about this incident please contact the police department at (641) 754-5725.

Questions regarding this media release can be directed to Captain Brian Batterson by calling 641.754.5729 or via email at bbatterson@ci.marshalltown.ia.us.
