BENTON, MISSOURI - Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reports a Scott City area man charged with a sex crime.
Todd Michael Kluesner (41) of 614 County Highway 208, Scott City, Missouri has been charged with the Unclassified Felony of Attempted Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree – Attempted Deviant Sexual Intercourse With Another Person Under 14 Years Old (566.062 RSMo), and the Class A Misdemeanor of Assault in the Third Degree (566.070 RSMo).
Sheriff Walter states that on Tuesday, November 04, 2014, at approximately 2:59 p.m., Deputy Zac Harris assisted the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children’s Division in reference to allegations of molestation.
According to the initial report, Kluesner had sexual contact with a family member under the age of fourteen. Deputy Harris believed probable cause existed to make an arrest in the case.
Deputy Harris drove to the Scott City residence where Kluesner was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
Detective Jessica Martin assisted with the investigation. A safe exam was scheduled at the Beacon Health Center for Wednesday, November 5th. After the exam was completed and further information was provided, formal charges were filed by Scott County Prosecutor Paul Boyd.
