Full Notification

At approximately 5pm this evening Riley Fire Department along with the Vigo County Sheriff's Office and Indiana Conservation Officers responded to the 5300 Block of E. Gross Drive in Southern Vigo County for a male who had fallen 20 feet from a tree stand. Riley FD personnel with assistance from Honey Creek Fire Department’s All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) were able to access the victim in a wooded area in approximately 20 minutes. Once access was gained to the victim he was able to be transferred 12 minutes later to an awaiting Lifeline Helicopter which flew the victim to Methodist Hospital. The victim was conscious and complaining of back pain.
