Announces Arrest for:
Breaking and Entering and Felony Larceny
The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Joshua Scott Thomas, 22 years of age, of Southern Pines, North Carolina on the above charges. This arrest is the result of a Breaking and Entering investigation conducted by the Southern Pines Police Department. On October 12, 2014, employees of the Calvary Christian School located at 400 S. Bennett Street in Southern Pines, North Carolina reported that the school had been entered and a cash register was stolen. A search by the Southern Pines Police Department’s K-9 Unit, (K-9 Olaf) and Investigators from the Southern Pines Police Department located property stolen from the school. Following a comprehensive investigation and examination of the evidence recovered, Joshua Scott Thomas was identified as the perpetrator.
On October 25, 2014, Joshua Scott Thomas was arrested by the Southern Pines Police Department for a Breaking and Entering incident which occurred at the Fun and Healthy Weight Loss Center in Southern Pines, North Carolina and has been in custody at the Moore County Detention Facility under a $1000 secure bond since this arrest.
Joshua Scott Thomas appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and remains incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Center under an additional $7,500 secured bond pending a court appearance in Moore County District Court.
