Police Conduct Compliance Checks
On November 6, 2014, the Los Banos Police Department assigned a small team of officers to conduct compliance checks on individuals released under California’s AB109 - State Prison Realignment. The officers checked on 11 individuals, who were on probation, parole or released under AB109.
The State of California has provided the Department funding for these types of operations; these operations allow the Department to check-in on offenders released under State Prison Realignment without impacting the City’s general fund budget.
During the short operation five people were arrested for violation of probation and/or parole conditions.
The following individuals were placed under arrest during the operation:
1) Steven Cecena, 21 – Probation Violation
2) Daniel Villarruel, 25 - Parolee at Large
3) Carlos Olguin, 30 - Probation Violation
4) Frank Baffuna, 37 - Probation Violation
5) Thomas Marquez, 39 - Probation Violation
