DATE AND TIME: November 12, 2014 at approximately 1339 hours
LOCATION: North Shore Dr near Norwest Tack, Crystal Township
Montcalm County deputies responded to a one car personal injury accident requiring extrication. Daniel Lee Case, a year 52 old Stanton man was traveling west bound on North Shore Drive, Wednesday afternoon. Case stated he fell asleep. His 2002 Chrysler Town and Country van left the roadway on the south side and struck a large tree. Crystal Township Fire responded with extrication equipment to free Case. Case was transported by Flight Care to St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw for his injuries. It is not believed that alcohol played a factor in this incident and it appeared that seatbelts were in use. Also assisting with the incident were Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services and Crystal Fire Department.
