The Brigantine Police Department has received multiple complaints from residents regarding an apparent scam. Complainants report receiving "robo-calls" from various numbers reporting to be from the IRS or "Federal Government". The call states you owe money and should call another number to pay. These calls are not legitimate! Neither the IRS nor any branch of the Federal Government will use anonymous or robo calls to collect money.
