The Lake Lure Police Department is proud and pleased to announce the promotion of Officer Carl Umphlett to the rank of Corporal.
Corporal Umphlett has been with the department since 2012. Corporal Umphlett has recently taken a variety of educational courses which included Field Training Officer and recently attended the North Carolina Homicide Investigators Association Fall Conference.
Corporal Umphlett has earned this promotion by working diligently in continuing to be a leader to his crew and contributing to the entire department as a whole.
