NM 41-Weekend Closure To Begin November 21

Galisteo–The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) continues bridge construction work on NM 41 near the Village of Galisteo between mile post 55.53 and mile post 56.1. This work includes the replacement of two bridges and roadway improvements between the two bridges.

The bridge work is located at the San Cristobal Arroyo Bridge south of the Village of Galisteo and the Galisteo Creek Bridge on the southern edge of the Village of Galisteo.

Starting Friday, November 21, at 7:00 p.m., NM 41 roadway will be CLOSED at Galisteo. The road closure will remain in effect throughout the weekend. NM 41 roadway will be RE-OPENED on Monday, November 24 at 5:00 a.m. The closure is necessary to complete the bridge deck pours on two bridges

Motorists traveling south on NM 41 can use US 285 south to Clines Corners to I-40. Motorists traveling north on NM 41 can use I-40 east to Clines Corners to US 285 north. The detours are equivalent to approximately 21 miles. Additional detours routes include: NM 14, NM 344, NM 472
