Stalking Investigation of Monroe County Family Leads to Several Felony Arrests
Bloomington – A lengthy investigation by the Indiana State Police at the Bloomington Post lead to the arrest of two Monroe County men on several felony charges. Isaiah Lee Jackson, 19 of Stinesville was arrested and charged with the following;
Stalking “A” Felony (2 Counts)
Theft “A” Felony
Intimidation “A” Misdemeanor (2 Counts)
Criminal Mischief “B” Misdemeanor
Criminal Trespass “A” Misdemeanor
Jackson allegedly stalked a Monroe County family, while depriving them of and destroying their personal property. Jackson is also accused of intimidation by way of placing dead animals (with gunshot wounds and severed extremities) in the family’s driveway with the intent they be placed in fear of retaliation for a prior lawful act.
Derek Matthew Richardson, 18 of Ellettsville was arrested and charged with the following;
Stalking “A” Felony (2 Counts)
Theft “A” Felony
Criminal Mischief “B” Misdemeanor
Criminal Trespass “A” Misdemeanor
Richardson also allegedly stalked the same Monroe County family while depriving them of and destroying their personal property. Richardson is also accused of intentionally interfering with the possession or use of their property.
In Indiana, a Class “A” felony is punishable by 20 to 50 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $10,000.
The Indiana State Police stresses the filing of criminal charges is only the beginning of the process and that the Defendants are presumed innocent until and unless guilt is proven in court.
Troopers assisting in the investigation included Trooper Seth Parker, Trooper Tyler Dawley, S/Trooper Mike Clephane and M/Trooper Mark Clephane.
