On Thursday, November 20, 2014, at 1:25 pm a male suspect attempted to rob the Pharmacist at the Safeway store located at 6790 Bernal Ave. The suspect presented the Pharmacist with a demand note indicating he had a gun. The suspect demanded narcotic medications, but the Pharmacist was able to convince the suspect that she could not access the medications. The suspect fled on foot.

At approximately 2:05 pm a male suspect matching the description of the suspect at Safeway successfully robbed the Pharmacy inside Walmart located at 4501 Rosewood Drive. The suspect presented a note in the same fashion as the earlier incident. The note indicated that the suspect had a handgun, although no weapon was seen. The suspect fled the store on foot. It is unknown if the suspect was associated with a vehicle.

The suspect is described as a White male, 18- 25 years old, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, slender to medium build. He had slight facial hair, a thin mustache and possibly an unshaven goatee. The suspect had a bandage across his nose which was described as being similar to a Band-Aid. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, gray sweatpants, and black shoes with white soles.

The suspect spent some time in the store prior to the robbery so it is likely other shoppers saw the suspect. If anyone saw a similar subject they are asked to call the Pleasanton Police Department at
