ATTEMPTED ROBBERY ARREST DAVIDSONVILLE

​On November 24, 2014, at approximately 6:08 p.m., officers from the Southern District responded to the 3300 block of Riva Road in Davidsonville for a reported robbery of a citizen.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 35-year-old female victim, who stated that she pulled into her driveway up to her garage and exited her vehicle. At that time, she dropped an envelope and bent over to pick it up when she felt someone pulling on the strap of her purse, which was over her right shoulder. The victim stood up and observed a male suspect, who pushed her up against her car and demanded her purse. Fearing for her safety, the victim pushed the car panic alarm on her key fob, and the assailant let go of the victim and fled on foot behind the garage into the woods. A search of the area was conducted by Patrol, K-9, Aviation, TPU and DDU. Officers were able to identify the suspect through prior contacts and the victim confirmed his identity as well. Additional evidence collected assisted in the investigation.

At approximately 8:04 p.m., officers responded to a call at the McDonalds located in the 100 block of Mitchells Chance Road in Edgewater for a report that the suspect, Adrian Lionel Dorsey Jr., was on location. Officers located the suspect in the store and placed him under arrest. The suspect was charged with robbery, second degree assault, and theft.
