AVOID: Clarendon Ave and S. Avondale Rd between 5pm and 8pm due to the Christmas Tree Lighting. 
The City is hosting its annual Christmas Tree Lighting tonight. Along with the festivities come traffic concerns so there will be some closures for the event.
1. Clarendon Ave from Kingstone Rd to N. Avondale Rd (Clock Tower) – Traffic on northbound Clarendon will be diverted onto Kingstone Rd to bypass the event.
2. S. Avondale Rd from Dartmouth Ave to Kensington Rd. – Traffic will either be diverted onto Kensington Rd or Berkeley
The traffic plan will only be for the duration of the event. However, residents that live within the confines of the closure may certainly be allowed access to their homes. If this is so, please let the police officer at one of the posts know and they will guide you in. We do ask that if you do travel into the event area then please do so slowly and carefully as there will be revelers coming and going. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
