Full Notification

On 12/03/2014, at approx. 8:45am, Van Buren Township received a report of an attempted child abduction. A 9 year old female was walking from the Parkwood apartments to Tyler school when she was approached by an unknown male. The male attempted to grab the child, from behind, and the child was able to get away and began running back to her apartment. The male is described as a B/M, 6’, 200lbs wearing a black ski mask and all black clothing. No vehicles were seen and very little information is unavailable at this time. Tyler school has been made aware of the incident. Anybody with information is asked to call the Van Buren Township Police Department at 734-699-8930
