The City of Montclair will hold its newly expanded “Dashing Through Montclair” event on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. The event will feature Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their sleigh dashing through the streets of Montclair, greeting residents, spreading holiday cheer, and collecting new toys for needy Montclair families.

The sleigh will leave the Montclair Police Department at 11 a.m., and follow a predetermined route through the City. Stops will be made along the route at Lehigh Elementary School, Essex Park, Saratoga Park, Alma Hoffman Park, and MacArthur Park. The last stop of the evening will be at the Montclair Police Department arriving at 6 p.m. Members of the community can enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, cider, and a community sing-along by the Montclair Youth Center participants.

At each stop and along the route, Santa’s elves will be collecting new toys. The community is encouraged to bring a toy donation for needy children at the listed stops. Toys collected will be distributed to needy Montclair residents as part of the City’s annual Toy and Food Basket program.
