Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms forecasted for LA County late this evening. Review safety tips!
The Los Angeles/Oxnard office of the National Weather Service (NWS) expects heavy rainfall to begin late this evening and into Friday. This storms intensity is expected to be much higher compared to last weeks with rainfalls in the coastal cities and valleys between 1-2 inches and 2-4 inches in the foothills and mountain areas.
Gusty winds are also expected to arrive on Friday morning and remain throughout the evening.
In preparation of the winter storms, the Culver City Fire Department has sandbags available for Culver City residents at Fire Station 1 located at 9600 Culver Blvd. Please drive to the first driveway off of Irving.
