Theft Suspect in the UPS Surveillance Video Identified and at Large. Anyone with info is urged to contact Highland PD

INCIDENT: **UPDATE** UPS Package Thefts
LOCATION: 28000 Block Foxtail Way, City of Highland
SUSPECT: Marcellus Carter, 40 YOA, San Bernardino

SUMMARY: **********UPDATE************

On December 5, 2014, Highland Investigators received possible suspect information related to the investigation. Upon review of the information, Detectives were able to positively identify Marcellus Carter of San Bernardino as the suspect captured on the video surveillance. A search warrant was conducted at Carter’s residence located in the 200 block of West 17th St. in San Bernardino. Carter was not located at the residence. Investigators believe Carter has been hiding out in the San Bernardino city area since seeing himself on the surveillance video in the news. For identifying purposes a prior booking photograph of Marcellus Carter has been included with this press release.

On November 18, 2014 at 2:14pm, a black male adult with a shaved head and a short braided goatee was seen on surveillance video following a UPS truck while the driver is making deliveries in the 28000 block of Foxtail Way in the East Highland. The video shows the suspect driving a newer model, maroon Nissan sedan, possibly an Altima or Maxima. Moments after the UPS driver leaves the packages on the porch of the residences, the suspect parks around the corner, gets out of his vehicle and takes the packages from the porch.
