RE: Fatal Fire
Last night, December 19, 2014 at 11:14 p.m. Warsaw Wayne Fire Territory responded to a residential fire in the 1000 block of E. Smith Street in Warsaw. A fatality was discovered in the residence and is currently under investigation by the Warsaw Wayne Fire Territory, Warsaw Police Department, Kosciusko Squad 70 Fire Investigation Team, Indiana State Fire Marshal’s office, and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s office. An autopsy will be performed early next week and it is believed that the identity of the victim will be released late Monday or Tuesday, once a positive identification of the victim has been made. The origin of the fire is still under investigation and additional information regarding the incident will be released as the investigation progresses.
