Heartland Fire & Rescue crews assisted by Cal Fire, Santee and Lakeside responded to a residential structure fire in the 800 block of North Mollison Ave. this morning. The fire was confined to one unit of an apartment building. Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly and the fire has been extinguished. The cause is under investigation and Red Cross has been requested for displaced residents. Crews will be on scene for approximately 1 hour.
