The Marion Police Department is investigating a prior assault that occurred at 131 Circle St, Marion, NC. On December 29th, 2014 at or around 12:10 AM officers with the Marion Police Department responded to McDowell Hospital in reference to a prior assault that occurred at 131 Circle St. EM. It was reported that Jackie Taron Agnew, age 41, had strangled and pointed a gun at Monikia Credle, who was 17 weeks pregnant at the time. Credle remains hospitalized at this time. Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Jackie Agnew, black male, 5’09”, 195 lbs, for Assault by Strangulation, Assault by Pointing a Gun, Assault on a Female, Assault in the Presence of a Minor and Interfering with Emergency Communications.
Jackie Taron Agnew is considered armed and dangerous, possibly driving a tan in color Toyota mini-van, unknown plates. Agnew has family and friends in NC, SC, GA, and TX area.
