Topanga PCU Officers make ID Theft Suspect arrest and advise community about mail box safety: 
Recently, Topanga Area Parole Compliance Unit officers arrested two sets of ID Theft suspects, who were in possession of multiple checks. The checks had been washed and re-labeled under the suspect's names for them to cash. Further investigation revealed that the suspects had "fished" the drive-thru mail boxes and recovered several articles of outgoing mail. The main location at which this crime was determined to have occurred was at a U.S. Post office in Winnetka.
We would like to advise all of our community members who drop their outgoing mail at the Post Office, to take the extra precaution and time and carry their mail inside the Post Office and hand the articles of mail to the Postal Clerk.
