Early Morning Crash Kills French Lick Man
Dubois County: A French Lick, Indiana man is dead this morning after a single vehicle crash in northern Dubois County.
Around 5:03 this morning, Ronald L. Garrison, 65, French Lick, was traveling westbound on State Road 56 near State Road 545. About one quarter of a mile west of SR 545, Garrison began to slide on black ice and lost control of his maroon 2007 Dodge Ram truck. Garrison’s truck slid off of the north side of the roadway and began rolling. The truck eventually came to rest after slamming into an embankment.
Garrison was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dubois County Coroner’s Office. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Indiana State Police was assisted at the scene by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana Conservation Officers, Dubois Fire Department, Memorial Hospital EMS, and the Dubois County Coroner’s Office.
