Advisory

A Winter Storm Watch from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning for snow, sleet and freezing rain

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning for snow, sleet and freezing rain with snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches, along with around a tenth of an inch of ice.

Snow is forecast to quickly overspread New Hampshire Saturday evening. Saturday night snow will mix with and change to sleet and freezing rain. By Sunday morning temperatures will warm above freezing and any remaining precipitation will change to rain.

The combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain will create hazardous travel conditions and wet snow and glaze from freezing rain could lead to scattered power outages.

Winds will be from southeast at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, temperatures in the mid 20s rising into the 30s and visibility is one half mile or less at times.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor reputable weather outlets for the latest forecasts.
