THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN INDIANAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A WINTER

STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH

TUESDAY MORNING.

* MAIN IMPACT: ROADS MAY BECOME EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS OR IMPASSABLE

DUE TO HEAVY SNOW AND DRIFTS...BLOWING SNOW WILL REDUCE

VISIBILITY...TRAVEL MAY BECOME VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE AT TIMES.

* ACCUMULATIONS: SNOWFALL OF UP TO 6 INCHES APPEARS POSSIBLE AT

THIS TIME.

* TIMING: SNOWFALL WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA DURING THE EVENING

HOURS ON MONDAY...WITH THE MOST INTENSE SNOWFALL OCCURRING FROM

LATE EVENING MONDAY THROUGH DAYBREAK TUESDAY.

* OTHER IMPACTS: TRAVEL MAY BE VERY HAZARDOUS DURING THE TUESDAY

MORNING COMMUTE. WINDS WILL INCREASE DURING THE DAY ON TUESDAY

WHICH MAY PROLONG HAZARDS ON AREA ROADWAYS.

* WIND CHILL VALUES: SINGLE DIGIT WIND CHILLS CAN BE EXPECTED

DURING THE SNOW...WHICH MUCH COLDER AIR MOVING INTO THE AREA

AFTER THE SNOW ENDS.

* FORECASTER CONFIDENCE: MEDIUM. THERE REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY AS

TO THE TRACK OF THE LOW. A MORE NORTHWARD TRACK OF THE LOW WOULD

RESULT IN LOWER SNOW TOTALS. IF THE LOW TRACKS FURTHER

SOUTH...THIS WOULD RESULT IN HIGHER SNOW TOTALS.
