During the week of January 5, 2015, the Corona Police Department will be conducting joint tactical training exercises with the Corona Fire Department. This training will present a new approach, whereby fire personnel, under the protection of law enforcement, will be able to get to injured victims much more quickly to provide life-saving treatment and/or extrication. The training will be occurring at a school within the Corona/Norco Unified School District while students are away on Christmas break.

Creating a training event to include all of the staff of two different departments is a huge undertaking. The strong working relationship between the Corona Police and Fire Department has directly contribution to the success of this joint training event to ensure the safety and security of the public.
